I’m a Phd student at the STEPS Centre, a research centre linking social, technological and environmental aspects towards sustainability, based at the University of Sussex. The topic of my Phd is “Monitoring access to rural water supply in Ethiopia”. I’
m particularly interested to understand when monitoring activities lead to decisions that have an impact on increasing access to water.
At the moment I am based in Ethiopia where I carry out fieldwork for my Phd. I have set up this blog in order to reflect on my experiences here in Ethiopia and to get feed-back from others who are interested in better understanding monitoring in the water sector in Ethiopia and elsewhere.
